Hi, There must be a strange character in your cards that cause the export to fail. If you send me your *.db file so that I can have a look at it to make the mechanism more robust for the future.
Also note that the *.cards file is for sharing cards with other people, so it does not contain learning info (as mentioned in the export box) and should not be used for backup purposes.
