Thanks, Peter, but that doesn't help. It only aligns the whole lot to the left or right. My problem is that when I enter this 'little inverted c' (see image) it doesn't matter how many spaces I put before it, it still shows up at the end of the previous word instead of at the beginning of the second, as it should.
