I've activated the account. At present, there is no manual activation for the majority of accounts-- what happens is that users who check the "I am a robot" checkbox automatically have their account deactivated, which requires manual intervention. The reason for this is to block the horrific amount of spam that we have been getting. Unfortunately, it has the side effect of blocking people who check the box without reading the description, but I am unable to find a better compromise at this time.
