Thanks for your quick response! I was afraid of doing something wrong.

In fact Mnemosyne is so well designed that this method works also for pictures; 
Mnemosyne creates automatically a folder named "default.db_media" next to the 
file "default.db", where it saves all the pictures (I have never used sound on 
my cards).
