Hi, I'd suggest googling the brand of your current phone first with respect to menu appearance. Since the menu button is Android standard, all phones should support this, although some do it in a very user-unfriendly way.
This being said, after the next desktop release, I will rework the Android client not to use this 'standard' mechanism anymore. It works without problems on my Moto G 2013.
