Hi, Provided you insert your media through the right-click popup menu, Mnemosyne indeed automatically copies it to the media folder. So, moving Mnemosyne’s data directory automatically moves the media directory contained within it.

Let's see. I create diagrams from a system I want to study and put them into a Dropbox\Mnemosyne folder which is obviously outside the system itself. I then insert the jpg into a card and now I see that the jpg itself is added to the default.db_media folder. So moving my Dropbox\Mnemosyne folder is irrelevant as the jpgs, not just a link, are stored in the default.db_media folder, right?
