Sorry, I am not sure how to help you. I have removed 2.3.6 and deleted the Program (x86)\Mnemosyne folder. I went into Trash and deleted it there too. I installed 2.4, but nothing happens afterwards when I click on the shortcut or the exe file.
For what it is worth, I can reinstall 2.3.6 and it seems to work fine.
