Hi, This might indeed be due to the manual copying. Give it a few days, and see what happens. Also, bear in mind that this statistic only measures really new cards, and not relearned failed cards.
With respect to client and server being on the same version, that is to assure they both talk the same language with respect to sync and database protocol. This will probably not be needed for every new Mnemosyne release, though.
