For an S8 It wouldn't be an issue, but for the larger S8+ it pushes the 
zero to beyond a comfortable distance, in the image below you can see the 
position of my thumb at full extension across the phone (and I don't have 
particularly small hands). 
If a zero response is required, the user either needs to switch to a less 
stable grip or shuffle the phone into a different position.

The easiest position on a large phone from an ergo perspective  would be an 
option of laying out vertically along the right-hand edge (or LH edge for 
left handed people).
