I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about this, searching in the database is 
directly handled by the sqlite library for speed reasons...

Hi,

in my desktop version german vowels seem to be case sensitive, so e.g. 
searching for "?" in card-browser window doesn't find cards, but searching for 
"?" finds them ("?strogen"). Normally Mnemosyne isn't case sensitive at all ...
