Since there are more and more users effectet and annoyed by this sync error I collectet over the last couple of weeks the answers to your questions above as good as i could.
1. Did you try any new features? No, not at all. 2. E.g., did you import Anki cards? Anki cards with sounds? Again, not at all. 3. Did you rearrange the imported data fields (from Anki?) import? No. 4. Do you use tags a lot? Until you asked this question, i didnt even know that there are tags. So i guess the tags are not related to the error, at least not in the way of that it trigges the error more when used, or changed. Mean while, afer now knowing about the tag option I tag every new card and work my way throu my old cards to tag them as well, but this doesn't effect the rate/frequency the error occurs at all (no proof, just a perceived statsic ) 5. How many cards are in your card set? Mine is at about 26000. ^^ as of today 3775 cards, most of them in both directions so in fact only about 2000 unique cards. 6a. Do you use many big files like images or sound files? yes, I use png, jpg, gif and mp3 files to "perfect" my cards. 6b. What's the total size of your Mnemosyne data in MB? As of today about 75MB 7. How does Mnemosyne on your PC behave? Does the software crash? My Mnemosyne GUI does crash on the PC. The app just reports the error and continuous to work just fine after the error. The PC program though crashes compeatly without any warning. There is alway this loading bar on the screen wihle syncing and in the event the program crashes it usually does it with in the 80-99% range. 8. Are statistics windows displayed correctly? I can't read the x-axis on some graphs. yes, this all works fine. No problem to be seen here. 9. How often do you sync? I sync quite often, because I do repetitions on my smartphone and when I see a bad card, I do a sync, change the card and keep studying. Since Mnemosyne crashes so often i sync usualy every day. On days where i add a lot of cards I sync a couple of times on that day. But i'd like to sync only once a week. Like when i'm traveling. But to lose a weeks worth of repetitions is just too scary. Althought since the newest version of Mnemosyne the "keep local cards" selection in the app works fine so i dont really lose my progress anymor. It's only annoing to wait every time this happens for the fullsync to finish. (like 1-2 minutes until all files - 75MB - are transferd over wifi) 10. Do you import cards from text files? No. 11. Do you use any Mnemosyne plugins or special features like latex? No, nothing. One thing I noticed over the last couple of weeks is, that the error apears to occure more often if I add new cards. If i don't add anything for like 2 weeks, then the sync error only happens maybe once in that 2 weeks, wihle it is almost certain that the programm crashes a couple of times over the follwoing week after I added new cards. I hope that helps somehow. Stay healthy Daniel Am So., 26. Apr. 2020 um 23:51 Uhr schrieb [email protected] < [email protected]>: > Hello Daniel, > > I am experiencing the same error.
