This week my old version of Mnemosyne (2016) on my 2011 MacBook Pro wouldn't load and gave this error.
So I downloaded the 2.71 version for my new MacBook Pro running Catalina. The download worked fine and the program opened up like a new program. I saved my previous Mnemosyne backup folder to my desktop and opened the last db backup from this folder. Everything worked fine and all the questions (currently active) loaded properly. However, none of the media files (*.tiff, *.jpg, etc.) would load into the questions. I tried putting all the media files into the default.db_Media folder in the library but this didn't solve the issue either. Any suggestions?
