OK here's an app I don't have time to do but wish I did.

You could mix Couchbase Lite with any database of geotagged photos (all of 
them?) and also let users upload their own snapshots. For the most fun put 
them in an augmented reality or street-view style interface.

We started this a couple of times, here is an old one:

You could probably use something like https://github.com/SpotMetrix for viz.
