Are you running your sync gateway on port 80? Or 4984? So what I hear you saying is your able to update data on the couchdb server and replicate the data on the client through the sync gateway but the problem your having is pushing the data from the client to the server?
What's the error you get in The device logs when you run the app? Are you able to get the todo phonegap app running with your sync gateway?
