Hi all I'm not sure this falls onto the remit of this mailing list, but I'd like to announce an app I've been building for quite a while: Manuscripts. Manuscripts is a Mac based word processor / organisation tool for writing scientific articles, PhD theses and other complex scholarly documents. I though this would be interesting for the group as:
1) it's (maybe?) a pretty unusual category of an app to build on top of CBL. 2) it builds on top of a CBL based high level object-document mapping framework "Feather" which I will be open sourcing as the app is launched publicly. Feather speeds up building CBL based apps and enforces some conventions I have found helpful when building a large domain model based on CBL documents that are synchronised in the background with a server or a locally available CBL database file (such as a document stored on Dropbox, Google Drive etc). If you're curious to learn more about the app, please sign up for beta access at http://www.manuscriptsapp.com! Alternatively, if you're interested of an early look at Feather, please get in touch via [email protected]. Sorry, hope this is alright to post.
