The following statement is made: Note:Bucket shadowing is meant to enable sync for existing Couchbase Server apps. If you are creating a new app with both mobile and web clients, we recommend starting with the Sync Gateway REST APIs <http://developer.couchbase.com/mobile/develop/references/couchbase-lite/rest-api/index.html>, and connecting backend services using the Changes Worker Pattern <http://developer.couchbase.com/mobile/develop/guides/sync-gateway/changes-worker/pattern/index.html#pattern> . Can any of the couchbase people speak to the roadmap concerning bucket shadowing? I thought i had seen indications of making sync gateway more of a bridge to an existing couchbase bucket and fixing the bit of weirdness that is "bucket shadowing". Now it seems that you're recommending people to not use bucket shadowing at all. Our app makes extensive use of bucket shadowing and to see that your future direction is to use the restful API or changes pattern is a bit disconcerting.
