Hi all, I've just merged larch to mozilla-central. This means the initial building blocks of the new tablet UI will be available as an opt-in feature in Nightly soon. This is *far* from being the final UI by the way. The goal here is to merge the necessary refactorings in Firefox's code to avoid constant conflicts with development happening in m-c. These refactorings enabled us to land the new tablet UI *in parallel* with the current one.
>From now on, we'll likely be doing most of the work on the new UI directly in >m-c as long as it doesn't involve too risky changes in common code -- in which >case we'll land it in larch first and merge again to m-c in the beginning of >the Fx36 cycle. You can track progress on the new tablet UI in bug 1014156. The new UI is disabled by default in Nightly. You can enable it in the Settings screen under "Display" -> "Enable new tablet UI". Let me know if you have any questions.
