Conceal is trying to address the problem that _any app on your device_ can read from the SD card at any time. Its solution is to keep the keys in SharedPreferences (which is on-device, protected by the OS), and put encrypted data on the SD card, effectively extending the OS’s protection to SD card storage. It’s not perfect security — the app, the OS, and arbitrary other things on a rooted device can get the keys — but it changes things. _______________________________________________ mobile-firefox-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mobile-firefox-dev
