Before going too much further, you should try using the latest release,
which is Firefox 44:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mobile/releases/44.0.2/

Try that and see if things work better. You could also try a Nightly
version, currently Fx47:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-central-android-api-15/
