As far as I remember, the tools that we use (Selenium and friends) are far from perfect, and sometimes timeouts just happen. Somewhat related (to Jenkins e-mail notifications in general), a Google Code-in student has managed to change e-mail messages[1]. If you would like to see something added/removed/changed, please comment at the bug report. Screenshots/HTML/etc welcome.
