Agree with the general principle here. I'm on the fence about that specific
implementation though. Having a grey logo (the magnifying glass) next to a
black logo (the W) looks clunky.

An option we have is to go with the iOS pattern of having only the icon
there with no text field (http://imgur.com/8YHklf4), which then expands to
take up the whole top bar when tapped (http://imgur.com/iztdkhz).

Thoughts?
