Scott - There is a
pre-conference workshop in Erfurt on mobiles. Did you see the notice on
the ICA web site? We are submitting a proposal for a paper there rather than
proposing a panel. Mike From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 10:12 AM To: Discussions on mobile communicaitons and social change Subject: [mobile-society] ICA panel? Hi folks. I have some work I'm planning to submit to the
upcoming International Communication Association (ICA) conference in
Dresden, and I thought I'd check to see if anyone is in the process of
putting a mobile comm panel together (other than Satomi Sugiyama's panel on use
in public). My papers would fit themes related to mobile
communication in social networks, use of the
technology for health, use in educational contexts, and
cross-cultural perceptions and uses. If you are seeking panel participants
related to these themes, please let me know this week. I am also
willing to organize a panel on my own if you have a mobile comm paper and plan
to attend ICA. The deadline is Nov. 1, so please let me know in the next
few days if you have a paper or are seeking papers for ICA.
Cheers,
Scott
