Hello all,

I am working on a piece where I examine the interaction of mobile
communication and the so called strong ties. There are several studies
showing that the strong ties are benefiting from access to mobile
communication. However, are there any empirical studies showing the
interaction between mobile communication and the WEAK ties? For
example, are heavy users of mobile communication likely to be less or
more politically engaged? Are there studies showing that people who use
the mobile phone have larger or smaller weak tie social networks?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Rich Ling.
