I've just done a small update to the post on measuring true rates of
mobile penetration and use, beyond the reported statistics:
http://ict4dblog.wordpress.com/2009/03/22/beyond-subscriptions-actual-ownership-use-and-non-use-of-mobiles-in-developing-countries/

The update comes from a report kindly provided by Wireless
Intelligence:
http://ict4dblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/wireless-intelligence-multiple-sims-per-user-vs-penetration.pdf

This looks at the "deflator" required to take account of multiple SIM
ownership. Their data comes from 2006 - all European plus South
Africa. They are interested in accessing new data on multiple SIM
ownership. If you know of any, do contact Joss Gillet -
[email protected] - who is the Lead Analyst for WI.
