It looks my sample page was TOO simplified, as I'm getting different
results.  Better, but still not really acceptable.

I tried hiding the control when you click it and showing the loading
image while it loads.  This doesn't work very well in Firefox OR IE.

Also, the image fails to rotate most of the time.  Can someone take a
look at the javascript and tell me if there are any glaring issues with
the way I've structured the async calls?
