It's a pretty low traffic list, especially when the mod_dtcl author

Oops, that's not quite accurate, is it.  You *do* have to have the
header files.  I guess I'm spoiled by Debian, which includes the
header files in a seperate package;-)

Is this indeed true?

copy the shared object into the directory that has all the other .so
files.  On my box, they are in /usr/lib/apache/1.3/.
