I have been holding off on posting this message for a few days to make sure I am not going crazy, but I feel I can now consistently reproduce this situation. In a MGU/Reactor/Coldspring app, I am having an issue with one of my controller events causing data in a table to be doubled up. Using the MG debugging, event.addTrace, dumps, etc, it was appearing that the function was running twice. I downloaded and installed fusionDebug, added a breakpoint near the top of the function, ran the code, and when fusionDebug caught it, there are 2 seperate threads kicked off. I step my way through the first thread, everything looks good, that thread ends, and the 2nd one is still hanging open, and the browser is waiting for it. If I start to step through the 2nd thread, I am back in the function I am suspecting of running twice.
I searched the MG folder for cfthread but did not find any, longshot I know. Maybe I am seeing something that I think is a symptom and has me going off in a wrong direction, but it sure does support my suspicion the function is running twice. I have a snapshot of the 2 threads when they are caught by fusionDebug but I am guessing it will be stripped from the group. I did add a unique key to the DB table to catch the code when it is trying to insert the duplicate row, and it does originate from the function I am looking at. Maybe the function is not ruinning twice but something inside the function is causing the issue. Sounds crazy and may not be making much sense, but I am at a loss on this one. Any thoughts anyone?
