Honestly, in MG 1 and 2 I had a simple include or CFC (I forget which) that would be run in the application.cfm to turn the SES URLs into actual URL variables. MG then picked them up and worked perfectly. It's not ALL within MG, but it's really the best way.
Another option would be to extend the framework via CS, but by that point you may as well just move on to MG 3, if possible. Doug Hughes, President Alagad Inc.
