In case anybody is wondering this is how you could then access the
reactor bean in your controller:
<cfset var reac = getModelGlue().getBean("reactor") />
<cfset variables.CategoryGateway = reac.createGateway
("mgc_categories") />
<!--- get all records --->
<cfset qCats = CategoryGateway.getAll() />
