The first thing I'd check would be to make sure that you have copied
the "ModelGlue" directory from the zip you downloaded into your web
root.  That will make the core framework files available to your
"translator" application that the quick start is having you make.

Similarly, you need to get the ColdSpring framework from 
www.coldspringframework.org
and copy the contents of that zip file into a directory under your web
root called "coldspring".

Beyond those two things, making sure that the search/replace actions
in steps 4,6, and 8 didn't miss anything should be all that is
required to browse to the default page.  All this is assuming that you
have a CF engine of some sort and a web server configured to handle
the requests.

Post back with some more detail if that doesn't get you at least
through Quickstart 1.
