Thanks, yes I tried a number of things along with restarts.

I've since reverted back to CF8 and am up and running.  I have reason  
to believe my ColdSpring.xml was misconfigured or somehow corrupt.   I  
need to try it all under CF9 once again to prove this thoery before I  
can say with certainty.
