I've been trying really hard to find the time to get down and learn
model-glue. Some observations:
1) The wiki with the training section is really good.
2) In order to take advantage of some of the features that model-glue
offers, one needs the Reactor framework.
3) The Reactor framework is not available except as a CVS download,
some of us aren't set up for it. Might be nice to have a copy
somewhere and instructions on integrating it with MG.
4) There IS a copy in the tutorial files (but sort of unannounced) and
it's pre-configured. That's a really good move, and makes it easy for
me to copy-and-paste a zillion times as I learn MG by taking away a
show stopper. As an independent developer, I'm not really familiar
with a lot of the team-tools, and setting up and learning CVS or
subversion on my machine is just one extra step I have to take just to
get the whole deal to run. I know I should learn all the team tools,
but sometimes it's a matter of time and priorities.
I wanted to thank the MG team for great work, to point out what is
well done, and to encourage you to consider a couple factors that
might not have been previously considered.
So thanks everyone, I'm pretty excited.
