Hi Irvin,

You are correct, html validators will want to see &  in links encoded as
&, so i think this is something we should look at fixing.
However you're fix only works because you are passing the optional
preferredContext argument, so we'll need to look a little harder at what's
involved in fixing this.  When i get time i will post back here
