Marc, in the course of getting this working I logged a few bugs which were fixed in the development branch
I believe this is a bug in CS2 alpha 1 related to abstract parent bean definitions, which are used in MG's configuration. so you'll need to pull the code from github and checkout the development branch. let me know if that works.
