Hmm. I feel like I'm the only to have gotten it working. Samo, I'm using the same Modem but on the x260(same vendor/did) I used the libqmi-qmi-over-mbim patches, and modemmanager to connect. Then I needed to manually setup my iface with iproute2. If you look for the message thread I started on the topic you can see a script I wrote for getting that network setup.
