I've been hanging around the list; thought I'd speak up and introduce
myself.
I'm a new modest mouse fan, having been out of the whole indie rock loop for
a while. I felt that it wasn't fair if I couldn't keep up with all the bands
and I didn't really have the patience for it. But then a few months ago, a
friend asked me to go to a modest mouse show, and I was pleasantly
surprised. They have renewed my faith in contemporary bands.
Other than that, I'm about to transfer to my third different college (any
suggestions? I'm looking for a good film program that's dedicated to its
students and their creativity. So far I've got apps for suny-purchase and
emerson [in boston]).
And I'm getting pumped up because starting Saturday, in a span of 6 days all
of the following will be playing in town: hot water music, blonde redhead,
frank black, and jon spencer. And then the next week is superchunk twice,
once in town and then the following night in Tampa w/ man or astroman.
But with all those tickets, that doesn't leave much money for beer. Dammit.
