well, im from Los Angeles originally, but right now i live in Chicago. I think
Modest Mouse [and that brand of 'indie rock' in general] is WAY more popular
in the west than any other part of the country. it seems like everywhere else
the majority of people listen to hip hop and the 'cool' kids listen to techno.
That's certainly the case here...
