<< I think Modest Mouse [and that brand of 'indie rock' in general] is WAY more popular in the west than any other part of the country. it seems like everywhere else >> the music scene is too blown out of proportion over in the west coast. perhaps its the same other places but here it sucks. there is good music of course, but that doesn't seem to be important anymore. it's what you can prove or what you do is different,. and that really makes me mad. it's not about good music and good talent. i mean there are those good bands that everyone likes but its still so superficial. sorry I just had to say that from my experience.
