Saturday was Hot Water Music. They showed up almost an hour late, and I
was the oldest person there, but damn did they rock. Actually, it never
occured to me to ask, but do they have national recognition? Cause they
should. Great fan support, and they support their fans as well. For
the last song of their set ("turnstile" if anyone's interested), there
were about 10 people up on stage singing the lyrics as the band kind of
hung back.
And tonight was Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Great energy, great music,
great showmanship. And Judah Bauer shook my hand so I'm pretty damn
special.
Have to rest up, tomorrow is the Blonde Redhead show...
