I know you've probably all heard it before, being members of the mailing
list and whatnot, but I find it hard to believe that Modest Mouse isn't
one of the best bands, ever. I'm just starting to really get into them,
am not fortunate enough to have seen them live, and only own Long Drive,
Int. 8, Lonesome Crowded West, and the Fruit.., but don't think I've
listened to much else since buying my first album of theirs, about 2
months ago. I guess that's kinda lame, probably. You guys are probly
cool about your level of liking, huh? Like, I really thought about
quoting them somewhere in this letter..ya know, just 'cuz I like them in
a very written on my Five Star First Gear kinda way, but figured that'd
be uncool. You guys probably all know bands that are along the same
lines, style, talent level, whatever. I dunno. I don't. I just know them
and then whatever Mtv plays. Unfortunate, huh? Yeah...so if anyone would
do me a favor and just maybe name a band or two that I might like, that
are kinda similar, they just might save me from ever again purchasing a
Beck album and thinking it comparatively amazing to the various Alanis,
StP, Reel Big Fish albums in my collection. So, whatever, I guess...if
anyone is writing about something else, and doesn't mind just writing a
non-sequitorial band name at the bottom that I also might like, it'd be
very appreciated. Thanks a lot, and I'm sorry to waste space in this
seemingly informative mailing list thingy with an essentially factless
message. Bye.
