I went to the WoW show last week, as well as the show at the Crystal a
couple of months ago, and I'm glad I went to both--they mixed up the set
list a lot. If I recall correctly, the Crystal show was every song off of
KILAS, plus a few others. The WoW show had maybe five KILAS songs, plus
Randy Describes Eternity, Stop the Show, Kicked it in the Sun, In the
Morning, a Love as Laughter (I mean L/A/L) cover and the real kicker--they
played "Car", which I've never seen played live before, and the entire
crowd sang along to the first verse. Doug sheepishly retreated from the
mike and let us sing. He had the biggest grin on his face--it must be an
incredible feeling to know that a whole room of people cares deeply about a
song you wrote.
As for the Delusions guitarist, he seems to be getting the hang of
it. He seemed a little out of place at the Crystal show, but much better
at the WoW show. He still doesn't have the fluidity of Doug's playing,
which makes his lines stand out, rather than blend in nicely like on the
album, but he's getting htere. I still think they should turn the slide
guitar down though.
Love,
Dan
