another example of my ignorance; i thought he was
saying "you should be ashamed to be so proud of what
you've done". and i almost quoted it as one of my
favorites.. oh well.
i don't know if this counts, but i like the way he
accents "percent" in styrofoam boots. it's just
something i've always noticed.
how about "i haven't hung out with anyone; if i did
i'd have nothing to say" and the part in wild pack of
family dogs about the dad quitting/losing his job (i
can't remember the exact wording) "i didn't move to
the city, the city moved to me" and "and i'll be
damned, you were right. he had a theory, too- he said
that god takes care of himself, god takes care of
himself and you of you"
i keep remembering more. but i think it'd be safe to
say that just about any line from any song of theirs
is going to be pretty damn good.
