I don't think the people (including me) who are whining about modest mouse
on epic are concerned that it will decrease our personal 'hipness quotient'.
Rather, I was concerned that the music might change. I also wouldn't dig
having to go to a huge venue to see them when now I can see them with less
than ahundred folks for $10. But of course music always changes--as the
musicians progress or as they get older--at least with good musicians. Then
there's the possibility that being on a major will burn them out and they'll
quit to go be a farmer or do landscaping or something. But that's always a
possibility.

Basically I hope the mouse sells 10,000,000,000,000 records and makes some
fat loot and never has to work another day in their lives. They deserve for
how much their music obviously means to their fans like the people on this
list.

But being on epic probably isn't going to make them suck, nor will it make
them millionaires. I guess I've been makin' a mountain out of a molehill
over the epic thing (not to be confused with mounting a mole).

Peace
