Just because everybody else is keeping it recent, I'm digging into my archives for this one. This is not to say I haven't seen any good shows recently, but these have stood the test of time: I also saw Jeff Buckley live and it was unreal. Also, Tom Waits in Oakland a few years back with his pushing four hour set. Hmm, one time I saw X play with Los Lobos and it was crazy. Frank Black solo acoustic was pretty neat, but only because I never saw the Pixies. The good line-up of GBV drunk as fuck on the Sunset Strip was great. I saw Johnny Cash a while back and have never heard a crowd scream so loud. Any show I've seen at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica has been pretty memorable. The Supersuckers always put on a good show, as do Dieselhed. And Pavement. Oh, and the show that changed my life...Sonic Youth at The Warfield in SF on the Dirty tour. I haven't been the same since.
