Anybody out there in the NYC/NJ/ area? well the next couple of weeks sound very
promising..this sunday the 10th the Crabs, Sarah Douger, and Kicking Giant are playing
at maxwells in hoboken! and towards the end of the month, the make up is having a
record release party for their new album "Save Yourself" at Life on Bleeker St on weds
the 27th with Ian and Amelia (marine research) DJing. The night after is a big show
too!! Mirah, The Microphones, Calvin Johnson, The Rondelles, and Marine Research at
Bowery Ballroom!!! and then of course The Olivia Tremor Control is playing on the 30th
and 31st(Halloween!!!) at the knitting factory!! (Sun Ra Arkestra is playing there too
on the 29th) So no one is allowed to complain about being bored!
As for the mouse playing in Boston, they have. I saw them at the Middle East
with the Wicked Farleys and 764-Hero a few years ago (just before Lonesome came out).
I too was at the Amherst show! that was an alright show, even though i wasnt too into
Califone at the time. well there you go!
