I saw this band called Molasses play last night. I think that they're made
up of members of God Speed You Black Emperor. Their music was absolutely
haunting and beautiful. They finished up the set with this incredible
interpretation of Amazing Grace. And I'll add that their CD packaging is
quite nice as well, screenprinted silver ink on black paper. If any of you
get a chance to see Molasses play, you really should. The Eyesores opened,
and put on a great show even though they only had their accordian player and
bassist.
