Hoss, Would love to know about what else is in Knoxville actually. Funny that you tell me to stop living in the eighties but make a reference to a dead as fuck 60s/70s band like Hawkwind when describing Skeyebone. I didnt compare Superdrag to the Pixies either. I wouldn't compare anyone to the Pixies unless it was to say that they were TRYING to sound like them in a negative vein. I live in all the periods of music actually, including today. I own about 600 cds and about a thousand albums that cover a hundred years of music and get paid for what I know. I think that I have branched out about as far as humanly possible in my 28 years on earth, but thank you for the encouragement to do even more. As for leaving my indie pop at home, there is nothing wrong with some of it if there is sincerity in the performance, which I believe that Superdrag has. If there is a problem with Indie Pop, then I think you are in the wrong place because the MoUSE has some really poppy shit coming on this next record. Well, as poppy as they can get. It still isnt the Gigalo Aunts...but if Indie Pop is such a terrible thing then where does that leave Husker DU? Oh, yeah, in the eighties so they must suck ass too, right? Our personal preferences towards bands and styles of music are just that, personal. Trying to dis someone's opinion on a band by saying that the type of music they play is tired is a juvenile and argumentative approach to the situation. Soounds like you have personal problems with the band. Maybe you should go talk to them and ask, as you called him, "Flame" Davis about your problems and opinions. As for me, I think that I will go listen to Superdrag and then get my head out of the 80's/90's and throw in a record from the 50's like some Miles Davis. Indie pop...geez
