Okay, heeres the deal. I have now bought two cd's, no threee, because you
people keep talking about these bands, I got Smog's newest cd, which I must
say, is fucking terrible, today I bought The Red House Painters self titled
cd which equally is boring and not very good, I also bought Belle &
Sebastians Tigermilk, which I should say is pretty good, but still, Im not
listening to it daily. I thought these bands would write beautiful chord
progressions like NMH and MM or BTS or even Archers of Loaf but alas I was
and continue to be dissapointed with my consistent loss of funds. I however,
much to the hardcore Oldskool fans discontent, do like that song that The Get
Up Kids made a video for, it was great. Reminded me of Weezer a bit, who is
one the best bands ever. I also do like Bedhead, the Treepeople, some
Pavement, but overall, I just havent heard anything new even remotely
interesting. I wish I could be lead in the right path to righteousness and
find something new worth listening to.
To respond to person asking about style of dress, Some times I dress like
Eurotrash, sometimes I dress like a raver, and sometimes I dress like a thug,
and I do pick up on girls well, so can take me off that list. I guess Im
not a TRUE indierocker, not that I would ever want to be a TRUE anything. Im
me, fuck all that. So I work at the Gap, I have 8 gague earings, I have had
most things on my body pierced, I listen to Jungle Indie Punk Hip hop Jazz
and a plethora of other things. I have one Modest Mouse shirt that I sleep
in and do my photography in sometimes. Indie music isnt who I am or what I
do, its what I like. The words move me to tears at times, the beat is
calming sometimes, but that doesnt make me me, it makes me happy, or sad
sometimes.
