Hi, my name is Phil. I've been indie to this emo for
quite some indie. I like to emo when I indie, and
sometimes I go for indie at the local emo. I also
find emo to walk my indie and indie on the weekends.
Sometimes my indies & I go to emo and indie until
dawn.

Ladies & germs, that was my take on the last 6
digests.

To those of you that offered book suggestions, I want
to thank each and every one of you. The winner is
Thomas Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49," and a book on
the history of hockey. *sigh* Hockey. If only hockey
was single, sweet and looking... Audible sighs abound.

Re: Coupland
I would have to agree that the swimming pool story is
one of his finest moments as a writer, as I can recall
swimming alone in my uncle's pool and humming along to
the rhythm of the filter burning unseen circles into a
deep blue and cloudless sky on a July afternoon.
My favorite moment from his books would have to be in
"Generation X" when one of the characters describes
being in line at the grocery store when the world
seemingly ends. I won't ruin it for anyone, but I
think about that scene a lot, and what it stands for.

Next topic for discussion:
Have we lost our way?

none of them knew they were robots,
