(i need to see _clerks_ again.) vonnegut: i was on a vonnegut kick for a while last year thanks to a friend of mine loving him. i suggest _welcome_to_the_monkey_house_ and _cat's_cradle_. she suggested _timequake_ to me, but i haven't picked it up yet. he's another one of those people that have a great messed up sense of humour. new modest mouse show on rosco's server: very nice. i don't have it all yet, but i really enjoy what i've heard. i also don't know the names of two new songs so far (numbers one and five), and have noticed that songs number six and seven ('doin' the cockroach') are the same files. but i still have to thank him for serving us a nice bowl of steaming live goodness. new music: manRay19. they're a band from my area that needs as much exposure as they can get. they're also very nice people and deserve the before mentioned exposure. check out some mp3s at http://www.mp3.com/artists/36/manray19.html -- and, for you people who need to label everything, kent the singer/guitar player has described them as a 'hardcare' band in past emails to me. they've also referred to themselves as gympcore. check out the mp3s, spend yr money on their *GREAT* album, be enlightened. happy turkey day to all who happen to be fans of it. -- b.
